Kearsley, Bolton, Greater Manchester

Kearsley is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton, Greater Manchester. It is situated 5 miles south-west of Bolton and 8 miles north-west of Manchester city centre. It is a pleasant rural area, with plenty of green spaces and a number of good scenic spots. It has a long history and was the birthplace of one of the earliest industrial innovators, Richard Arkwright.

The main areas of Kearsley are Kearsley Mount, Stoneclough, Hill Top and Kearsley Common. The area has good transport links, with frequent buses and trains to Bolton, Manchester and other nearby towns.
