Merthyr Tydfil (County of) is a borough in south Wales, located in the Merthyr Valley. It is the largest town in Merthyr Tydfil County Borough and is known for its historical significance. The area is steeped in history with many attractions including the ruins of Cyfarthfa Castle, the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and the Old Red House.
