What attracted you to the property when you bought it? - We wanted a period house, within easy reach of green space and transport, but big enough to be a first family home.
• What you love most about the place? We love being able to live in a cottage with outside space in a quiet street, away from noisy roads. It doesn't feel like we are in London but everything we need is in easy reach.
• The neighbourhood, community, lifestyle? We know a lot of our neighbours, and there are residents' street parties, and a community centre that runs classes, an afterschool club and community events. Rosendale School and Children's Centre is on the doorstep, which makes nursery and school runs a doddle. Brockwell Park is at the end the road and perfect for runs, picnics and playground.
• Favourite places to eat / visit locally? We love that we are walking distance to Herne Hill with the lido, farmers market, shops, pubs and restaurants, to Dulwich Village with the park and Picture Gallery, and to Brixton with the market, cinema and music venues.
