Cracoe is one of the Yorkshire Dales most convenient village communities, to be found just six miles or so to the north of the thriving town of Skipton and only three miles or so from bustling Grassington. The village has its own public house, farm shop and primary school. There is well regarded schooling within the area, including Skipton Girls High and Ermysteds Grammar School, whilst private schooling for children of all ages is within comfortable daily travelling distance. For the commuter the road network from Skipton provides excellent links with business centres as far apart as Harrogate, the East Lancashire conurbation, Leeds and Bradford, whilst the towns railway station offers frequent services throughout the day into Leeds and Bradford from the former there are also regular onward connections to London Kings Cross. An international Leeds/Bradford airport is just some twenty five miles distant.
