Accommodation
The front entrance door leads into a hallway with a large storage cupboard (housing the boiler) and stairs up to the first floor. The good sized, spacious living room with dual aspect windows gives access to a conservatory at the rear currently set up as a dining room. Also off the hallway is the kitchen with plenty base and wall units, built in oven and hob and plumbing for a washing machine and dishwasher. At first floor level there are two double bedrooms, a single bedroom/study and a shower room with walk in cubicle and electric shower. Outside there is gravel parking for two cars to the front and an enclosed gravel and paved garden to the rear with plenty space for entertaining. There is also a secure shed in the rear garden.
Location
The picturesque Northumberland village of Horncliffe has a pub and an active village hall and is situated in an elevated position on the south bank of the river Tweed. There are a number of beautiful walks available immediately from the front door, upstream to the village of Norham and its brooding castle or downstream across the famous Union Chain Bridge which straddles the Scottish Border. Horncliffe is within a few miles of the dramatic Northumberland Coast and is an ideal spot from which to explore this wonderful region. The village lies between the Scottish Border and the Cheviot Hills and is close to the picturesque town of Alnwick with its famous gardens and castle as well as the picture postcard village of Bamburgh and the Holy Island of Lindisfarne.
Berwick upon Tweed is within easy reach and provides further comprehensive cultural, educational, recreational and shopping facilities together with modern sports and arts centres.
