Brunel House is a gem! A small and private development of just 14 high specification apartments set in the heart of a premier residential area neatly tucked away down a quiet, pretty road only a stone's throw from the Malvern theatre, restaurants, cafes, shops and Waitrose in Great Malvern. Superfast broadband and small pets are welcome too!
No. 6 was beautifully converted five years ago and is one of a kind; the only apartment at Brunel House with three bedrooms!
Coming through the door into the entrance hall you find a large room on your left, currently used as a gorgeous main bedroom next to a large family bathroom. Further down the entrance hall there is a short flight of stairs leading up to large open-plan living area with tall vaulted ceilings, sitting room, modern kitchen and large windows over looking the rear communal garden. An expensive Neville Johnson fitted book case spanning the length of an entire wall is ideal for all one's books, photo frames and television.
The kitchen is well-equipped with NEFF appliances including a Slide and Hide oven, warming drawer, combination microwave, large induction hob, built-in refrigerator with separate freezer below, AEG dishwasher, white tiled splash back and an instant boiling water tap.
Two of the bedrooms, one with a fitted wardrobe, are on the lower ground floor overlooking the pretty silver birch tree. A very handy utility room as well as a storage area is also located downstairs. The apartment has since been completely redecorated in white throughout.
OUTSIDE
Private steps lead past various plantings to a small seating area outside the front door. There are two allocated parking spaces belonging to apartment 6 conveniently located at the top of the steps and plenty of visitor parking. There are electric gates, electric pedestrian entrance, communal lawn garden with seating, waste bin and bike store.
In my opinion No. 6 is perfectly balanced, versatile and beautifully decorated with a wide expanse of oak wooden flooring and tall glass windows making this a wonderful low maintenance home. It would be equally ideal if one has children at one of the local independent schools so that you could visit them regularly without them having to travel up and down on weekends.
The neighbours at Brunel House are friendly and respectful and as with Malvern in general there is a unique, kind, community feel.

LOCATION

Portland Road is very centrally located; a pretty, little known one-way street only a two minute walk to Church Street in Great Malvern.
Malvern is a safe and beautiful town with an abundance of quintessentially British charm steeped in culture. A designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with the spectacular Malvern Hills providing a glorious back drop, you will find this so much more than just a place to put down roots.
Here you will find independent boutiques, outstanding restaurants, pubs, cafes, a range of supermarkets including Waitrose and the renowned Malvern Theatre. A favourite of mine is Faun on the Worcester road, excellent for brunch and the best cinnamon buns baked daily!
The Malvern Theatre is a real pull, located in the Winter Gardens complex in the town centre of Great Malvern and has been a provincial centre for the arts since 1885. It is a model of artistic and architectural excellence and boasts a diverse programme and great selection of events throughout the year.
For those who love walking and cycling the magnificent Malvern Hills are literally on your doorstep.
Some of the finest independent, primary and secondary schools are located in Malvern including Malvern College, Malvern St. James, The Downs, The Elms, Wyche Primary and The Chase High School.
The ever popular Three Counties Showground offers a variety of events throughout the year including festivals, food, gardening, agricultural, entertainment and so much more..
Malvern has excellent links by road and rail: Great Malvern and Malvern Link train stations are only a few minutes away with direct links to Worcester (10 minutes), Birmingham (1 hour) and London Paddington (2 hours 15 mins) with Junction 7 of the M5 a short drive away. Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Broadway, Bristol, Cardiff and Birmingham all readily accessible.
