Location
Broxbourne is a commuter town in the Broxbourne borough of Hertfordshire in the East of England. Broxbourne has two district town centres, Hoddesdon and Waltham Cross and a number of small historic towns and villages.

Hoddesdon is an attractive, small market town with an interesting mix of shops, cafes and restaurants. The town centre has many attractive, historic features and a thriving market on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Waltham Cross town centre is a busy commercial centre with a pedestrianised high street. It incorporates a mix of shops and has a weekly market on Wednesdays and Fridays.

The hamlet of Broxbourne, from which the Borough takes its name, contains St Augustine's Church built in around 1460. This is filled with interesting tombs and memorials. Behind the church is the restored Broxbourne Mill, first mentioned in 1086 in the Doomsday Book.

Its principal features are the Monson Alms Houses built of red brick in 1728, 97-99 High Road part of which dates from the 16th century, and the Priest's house which is a 17th century two storey dwelling.
