When we bought this property, we envisioned it as our forever home and set about transforming it into a space we`d love to live in. We invested over ?125,000 in a complete refurbishment and rebuild back in 2014, ensuring every detail was of the highest quality. From replacing the joists and floorboards to installing handcrafted staircases, we carefully selected every element to create a solid and stylish home. The high-end Wren kitchen, triple glazing throughout, and completely updated utilities, including rewiring and new water and waste systems, were all done with comfort and longevity in mind. We even future-proofed the top floor with connections for a potential en-suite. Unfortunately, a change in personal circumstances meant we were unable to move in as planned. Instead, we chose to rent the property, and it has been a well-maintained home ever since. It`s a home we are incredibly proud of, and we hope the next owners will love it as much as we intended to.
Alex`s Perspective
What immediately stands out to me about this home is the combination of thoughtful design and high-quality finishes. You can really feel the care that went into the refurbishment, from the solid, handcrafted staircases to the premium Wren kitchen. Everything about the property feels modern and stylish, but with a timeless character that makes it feel like home.
The layout is really practical and flows beautifully. The entrance hall gives you a sense of space straight away, with a handy understairs cupboard for storage. The open-plan kitchen and living area is a real highlight it`s bright, welcoming, and perfect for socialising or just relaxing after a busy day. The kitchen is kitted out with integrated appliances and a sleek finish, while the large glazed skylight and triple-glazed French doors fill the space with natural light.
Upstairs, the first-floor bedroom is spacious, with lovely period details, and the bathroom feels luxurious with its L-shaped bath and contemporary design. The master bedroom on the top floor is a great retreat, with dual-aspect windows letting in plenty of light and eaves storage to keep things tidy.
