Pretty 2 bed stone cottage in the centre of town on a dead end side road. Refitted bathroom, kitchen, fantastic condition throughout, and a stone shed/ outbuilding at the bottom of the garden. NO CHAIN

Bicester needs little introduction. One of the fastest-growing towns in the South of England, with excellent and diverse employment opportunities, good schooling and other amenities, fast and direct road & rail access to London & Birmingham, plus the world-famous Bicester Village retail outlet, it is a go to destination for buyers.

.

Number 53 is a delightful cottage, one of a small number in the town that manages to combine masses of character throughout, instant walking access to the town centre, on road parking outside, and a quiet side road location. Our owner has put masses of devotion into it over the last few years, and it is only a change of location that forces the sale. Renovated throughout, it strikes that lovely balance between charm, style and ease of use. In fact the only item we could see on first inspection that requires renovation are two windows, and the vendor has even promised to contribute to their replacement!

..

The open porch accesses a lovely living room that instantly raises a smile with its character. Bricks and timber to the right wall plus a fireplace are attractive items that really speak of the history of the house. And with a glazed front door plus wide front window, it is very light. Walking through the timber frame to the rear leads to the kitchen. Ultra modern, it sits seamlessly within the framework, beautifully fitted to provide a neatly packaged set of units that includes a stainless sink inset into a composite work top. There is also enough width here for ample storage under the stairs. At the back of the kitchen a door leads out to the rear garden. Next to it, the bathroom is in fantastic condition having just been refitted, and as with the kitchen the packaging is excellent. A large walk-in modern shower and a chrome towel rail occupy one side. To the other, a long vanity unit contains good storage, and cleverly the washing machine plumbing is also built-in just here. A further wall cupboard provides yet more storage.

...

Upstairs, the same brick and timber wall frames the stairs. At the top, to the rear a pleasant double room overlooks the garden, and the deep cupboard over the stairs provides excellent storage. To the front the larger of the two is a very good size, an ample double room that also features an alcove that would be ideal for fitting a wardrobe.

....

Outside, the front garden is gravelled for low maintenance, behind a brick wall typical of this era of house. A brick path also leads to the front door. Behind the house, a concrete path leads up to the gravelled rear, to the right of which is a border for planting. As with the front, it is set up for low maintenance, however could easily be lawned if desired. At the end, a brick shed has a low entrance door in, but once inside this is quite a good size, with power already connected.
