Unbelievable value. A large extended cottage offered in gorgeous condition, with a pleasant garden, generous parking and a detached garage. So much space and so much style. And NO CHAIN
Middle Barton is one of three linked Barton villages approximately 7 miles from Woodstock, dating back to pre-Norman times. Between them they offer a range of facilities including pubs, a mini-market and cafe, a garage and a post office. The village has extensive sporting facilities and a childrens playground. The primary school is within easy walking distance, and it is exceptionally well regarded. While rural and very much tucked away, the village is well placed amongst other charming North Oxfordshire Cotswold locations such as Great Tew and Duns Tew. Commutability is easy. Lower Heyford station is a short distance away with connections to Oxford, London (Paddington), Banbury and Birmingham (New Street). Oxford Parkway Station, in nearby Kidlington, has direct connections to London (Marylebone) via Bicester. A local bus service circulates around the nearby villages.

This lovely cottage sits at the very end of a small terrace of just three properties, with the lion's share of the outside space including a garage and great off road parking. The house has been extended over the years to provide what is now an extraordinary amount of space. But more than that, it's also in delightful condition. So in essence you gain all the loveliness of a charming period cottage but with all the practicalities of a modern house. There literally isn't anything comparable to this house available at the moment for a similar price, so be quick!!

Coming into the house through the glazed frontage, you are greeted with a stylish addition that provides a sunny breakfast bar area to one end and a belfast-style sink to the other. There's a large pantry next door to the sink, and beyond that the kitchen opens up to provide a wonderful, attractive room that is also much larger than expected. The range cooker, ceiling beams and tiled floor all give it delightful character. And this theme continues through the living room, which is also a significant space complete with lovely beams, and the main focal point is a large fireplace. Off to the rear a conservatory has been added, and this gives access out to the path leading to the rear garden. And completing the downstairs is a good sized bedroom just adjacent to the kitchen that has been designed for disabled access as it includes a large walk-in wet room.

Upstairs presents with you similar niceties. The stairs rise to a really wide, light landing. On your left shoulder the first of the two bedrooms on this floor is lovely, large and characterful as well as being a generous size for a large double bed with associated furniture - and in addition there is a deep cupboard over the stairs. Next door, the bathroom is pristine with a modern white suite that contrasts perfectly with the Art-Deco style tiling to the walls. And to the other end of the landing, the largest double is far larger than you would expect, with the curve of the chimney breast giving a little hint of the age and history of the house. It's a wonderful room, light and spacious with a great feeling of positivity.

Outside to the front the entrance off the road leads past the neighbouring cottages to a pair of metal gates between stone walling, leading onto a paved hard standing. This is ample for several cars, but in addition a garage to the left side provides either a useful storage space or a dedicated car space. Behind the house, reached via a gate to the left of the house, the garden arrangement is fairly typical of old terraced cottages. The central path currently splits the garden into two parts, with the left side the space for this cottage. Not currently fenced off, it could be if desired to make it secure or just enclosed for greater privacy; regardless it's a lot of space for a property at this price and a lovely, peaceful area.
