Locally there are village Inns at East Down, Challacombe, Berrynarbor and Braunton with further facilities in the coastal towns of Woolacombe, Ilfracombe, Combe Martin and Lynton and Lynmouth with their varied range of Inns, restaurants and eateries and on Exmoor at Exford and Simonsbath.

In Barnstaple the regional centre for North Devon, there is live theatre, new leisure centre, tennis centre, a wide choice of Inns and Restaurants, cinema and shops.

The area offers a wide variety of pursuits for holiday makers with the cliffs between Ilfracombe, Combe Martin, Hunters Inn and Lynmouth offering coastal orienteering and the stunning South West coastal path. Indoor Heated Pool - Sauna

Pool building with a guest laundry along with a ladies & gents changing rooms. Tiled pool 9.12m x 4.53m (29 9 x 14 8) with a depth of 1.4m to 0.8m. Within the pool room is a 4 persons sauna.

Next to the pool building is a levelled lawn area for seating where the mill pond is located and original mill wheel. At the bottom of the site is a nature walk which leads down to a stream which is popular with guests.

At the entrance to the site is the paddock which has previously been used as a CL site for caravans and has potential for glamping. Next to the paddock is an overflow car park laid to scalpings with parking for approximately 12 vehicles. The main car park is laid to gravel with parking for 10 vehicles and has bin storage, a recycling station and log store.
